- The Personal Firewall protects a single PC, while the Nimeon N-Force service offers an hardware security device, to be installed between the PC and the modem/router, protecting the complete local network.
- The Personal Firewall makes difficult the using of the local network, since they do not easily allow the filesystems and printers sharing, in order to avoid that such services can create vulnerability in the systems. With the Nimeon N-Force service it is not necessary to block the sharing of the internal resources, since the protection is applied to all the traffic incoming from the modem/router.
- The Personal Firewall must be installed, maintained and updated by yourself. The Nimeon N-Force service does not requires the user intervention, its presence is “transparent” for the customer and the updates are automatically provided by Management Center.
- The Personal Firewall management requires user competences about security, for being in a position to avoid the vulnerability due to an imperfect configuration. Moreover a constant update is necessary, since every day new threats will come out, like virus and worm . With the Nimeon N-Force service all these tasks are delegated to the experts located in the Management Center, an highly prepared staff, in strict contact with the main Security Operation Centers in the world.
